Consortium of Milla & Partner, Schmidhuber and NUSSLI selected to design the German pavilion for EXPO 2015 in Milan
The award procedure organised by the Germany Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) to select the designers of the German pavilion at the world exposition in Milan in 2015 has been completed with the contract being presented to the consortium of Milla & Partner (Stuttgart), Schmidhuber (Munich) and Nüssli Deutschland (Roth near Nuremberg).
Within the consortium, Milla & Partner will be responsible for the overall content concept as well as exhibition and media design, Schmidhuber for architecture and general planning and Nüssli for implementation and project management. Messe Frankfurt (Frankfurt/Main) will be responsible for the organisation and operation of the German pavilion at the next world exposition.
Some 120 nations and other organisations from all over the world will present their visions of the future under the motto "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" in Milan from 1 May to 31 October 2015. This is the second time that the three partners have worked together on a project in this constellation. They previously designed the award-winning German pavilion "balancity", one of the most popular attractions at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
The concept for the German pavilion will be presented to the media at a press conference in Frankfurt on Tuesday, 7 May 2013.
