BASELWORLD, The World Watch and Jewelry Show
Each spring in Basel, 2,000 companies present their new products and innovations in the watch, jewelry, and gemstone range, along with other related industries. The most popular brands in the world are presented exclusively at BASELWORLD. 100,000 visitors from specialized retail and wholesale trade businesses travel from every continent to Basel to discover the latest trends and the newest creations in the watch and jewelry industries.
Commissioned by Messe Basel AG trade fair organizers, NUSSLI builds various stands every year. We have been responsible for the revision work for the stands in the Hall of Universe since 2004. This hall has a net exhibition area of approx. 17,000 square meters. Eight NUSSLI fitters accomplish this work in about two months.
An additional 55 assembly operators build the entire stands in the Hall of Elements, which features a net exhibition area of 5,600 square meters. We have been carrying out this order since 2005.
In 2008, NUSSLI received the contract for the construction of the stands in the Hall of Impressions for the first time. With a net exhibition area of 2,000 square meters, it is the smallest hall. Here, 22 fitters are at work for a period of four weeks.
The NUSSLI contract includes the stand construction, floor coverings, electrical installations, lighting, and the decorative elements like curtains, mirrors, and signage. Since the floor load in the exhibition hall is very low, the stand construction system is built, to a large extent, without heavy lifting gear.
