The organizing committee contracted NUSSLI‘s planning services to carry out the project planning and feasibility studies for the two grandstands seating 3,500 and 2,000 and other overlay works in Bormio and Santa Caterina respectively. An imposing structure, 32 meters high, was erected on the steeply sloping finishing area. Twenty-five fitters ensured that the grandstands including VIP boxes, commentary positions, camera towers and television studios were ready for use in time. A total of 730 tons of material had to be transported to the hard-to-access building site.
