Already during the initial planning phase NUSSLI was awarded the contract involving the planning of all temporary infrastructures by the organising committee. The assignment consisted of the finish area – at 2,000 meters above sea level – complete with grandstand of 5,000 seats, platforms for press/television, a generous village as well as numerous tent- and logistics facilities.

The local indoor swimming pool was temporarily converted into the news centre and the Tennis centre into the IBC. The service centre was built next to the bottom station of the cable car. The ceremonies were held at the township square. The construction of the grandstands, platforms and scaffoldings, numerous container constructions, stages and the news centre were also awarded to NUSSLI.
