Temporary grandstands for California Golden Bears Football Team, San Francisco
In autumn 2011, AT&T Park, the home stadium of the famous Giants baseball club, became the temporary home to the University of California Golden Bears football team. Due to renovations in their own home stadium, the Golden Bears played their 2011 home games in AT&T Park. In order to equip the baseball stadium for a football game, NUSSLI provided the stadium with a grandstand facility located in the outfield section of the ballpark providing 6,000 seats. Due to the Giants were still playing baseball, the temporary spectator seating was installed a 36-hour period by a team of 18 assemblers working in two shifts and dismantled in just 24 hours. This process was repeated multiple times due to the overlap in the baseball and football seasons.
