XIX. Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi

Within the scope of the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi, NUSSLI was appointed to develop the execution planning and implementation for all „overlay infrastructures“ in the six venues Indira Gandhi, Mj Dhyan Chand, Shivaji, Sansad Marg, Talkatora, Dr. S.P. Mukherjee. NUSSLI realized the execution planning as general contractor for the Organizing Committee Commonwealth Games 2010. Within five months after signing the agreement, all overlay commodities, such as grandstands, media facilities, tents, modular buildings, furniture, fencing, power generation and –distribution, fresh water supply and waste water disposal, were to be planned and provided as turnkey projects, along with maintenance services during the games.

The client did not only benefit from  NUSSLI‘s know-how gained from different previously implemented major projects, but also received the necessary support of the experienced planning department during the planning phase in order to optimize operations at an early stage. In intensive collaboration with the Organizing Committee, NUSSLI prepared the approval- and execution planning. The scope of the tasks performed by NUSSLI included the feasibility study, implementation of the contracting plans according to the concepts received, and ongoing support of the execution work, in order to enable a smooth implementation operations.
NUSSLI therefore provided the client with planning and execution competence from a single source, in order to deliver „overlay infrastructures“ and efficiently guarantee their cost transparency, on-schedule delivery and compliance with high quality standards.
